Dongle

General information

A dongle licence requires a licence file, a dongle and installation of a dongle driver.

A dongle licence is similar to a standalone licence; however, the licence is locked to the dongle rather than to the machine's physical address.

Example licence file

A dongle licence can be identified by the presence of "Dongle" in the Licence type field in the licence file.

• Licence file (default C:\Flexlm*.lic)
• Log file from the network server (when relevant, default C:\Flexlm\dnvs.log)
