Tutorial describing how to run the Frequency Domain workflow

This tutorial shows how a Frequency Domain workflow can be used in an early design stage of a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) substructure. The workflow provides a quick and efficient method for analysis iterations for initial sizing, preliminary design, and design optimization, and covers both FLS and ULS.

The tutorial contains the following steps:

  • Global structure modelling
  • Hydrodynamic analysis
  • ULS global strength analysis
  • FLS global fatigue analysis
  • Local fine mesh model for detailed fatigue analysis
