Problem

What does “Project Info” within the release notes mean?

Solution

The references to “Project Info” refer to the Code compatibility and non-standard options definition dialogs, which can be accessed at the bottom of the Project Information dialog (using the File -> Project Info… menu item).

"What is Project Info?" article figure 1

Tick the executable option that you want to set the Project Info for (e.g. Turbine calculations (dtbladed.exe)) and click the Define... button. The following dialog will be shown:

The Special data text input box is where labels and values can be entered to inform the calculation code to carry out some special feature or non-standard option. These might be client specific features – for example a particular type of gearbox loss model, or they might be general features which we have not yet put into the user interface – for example heave plates for floating turbines.

A Project Info user guide document is available here.

It is also possible to provide a network mapping to a specific version of the Bladed calculation executable (dtbladed.exe) using the Code location box, as shown in the image.
